Huckabee endorses Senate candidate Miller from AK

JUNEAU, Alaska — Self-described “constitutional conservative” Joe Miller has picked up another high-profile endorsement in his bid to upset Republican U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska.

Mike Huckabee said in a statement Monday he believes Miller will “work to help restore Constitutional limits on Federal power.”

Huckabee, the conservative TV show host and former Arkansas governor, joins Sarah Palin and the Tea Party Express in endorsing Miller.

Miller spokesman Randy DeSoto says the campaign reached out to Huckabee. Country singer Bryan White is scheduled to hold fundraising concerts for Miller this week.

Miller has said he appreciates the endorsements but the focus of the race should be on bringing limited government. The primary is Aug. 24.
