Rick Santorum Victimised By Neologism

PENNSYLVANIA (GaeaTimes.com) — Lately, Santorum ended up with the meaning “that frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex” disappointing Rick Santorum’s presidential dream.

Anyways, neologism actually makes way for a newly coined word or phrase, mostly specific to some event or someone. Now, the more major the issues are the merrier it’s value gets to be. Otherwise, these words are those in the process of entering common use, but due to lack of support has not yet been augmented into mainstream language.

It all started of as a payback, when gay columnist Dan Savage unleashed the website SpreadingSantorum.com in 2003. Rick paved the safe passage for all of this in an exclusive interview where he said,

Every society in the history of man has upheld the institution of marriage as a bond between a man and a woman. Why? Because society is based on one thing: that society is based on the future of the society. And that’s what? Children. Monogamous relationships. In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That’s not to pick on homosexuality. It’s not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing. And when you destroy that you have a dramatic impact on the quality.

What Savage had in store for Rick was a budding contest to “memorialize the scandal”. He asked his readers to come up with meanings to the senators surname. And guess what, the word spread like fire and flooded the web. Savage was pretty much hurt by Rick’s take on homosexuality and said,

I’ve sort of been in denial about the fact that Rick Santorum is going to run for president. But now I’m going to have to sic my flying monkeys on him. Rick would have prevented me and my partner from being able to adopt my son.

Finally to end with it Savage offered Rick a deal,

If Rick Santorum wants to make a $5 million donation to [the gay marriage group] Freedom to Marry, I will take it down. Interest starts accruing now.

Now, lets see what Rick comes up with. It really has been and will be hard for him to carry on his campaigns with Dan Savage standing in his way. So, he is left with but two options. Either he has to find a new way to go for his campaigns or he must sign up with Dan’s deal. Well, as a matter of fact there had been cases where politician’s have successfully eradicated odds to carry on with their crusade. When asked to opine on this issue, Michael Fertik, CEO of ReputationDefender, said,

This is an unusual problem, It’s devastating. This is one of the more creative and salient Google issues I’ve ever seen. It’s going to be very hard to move.

Richard John “Rick” Santorum was born on May 10, 1958 and is a native of Winchester, Virginia, and raised in Berkeley County, West Virginia and Butler County, Pennsylvania. He was United States Senator from Pennsylvania in office from January 3, 1991 January 3, 1995. Some say, the Savage issue led to his mashing 18-point defeat in his 2006 campaign against Bob Casey.
