Volunteer falls through window at DC mayor HQ

WASHINGTON — A volunteer crashed through a plate-glass window at D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty’s headquarters, where hundreds of people gathered to await election results.

Paramedics treated the young man who was bleeding badly from the head after the fall. He was conscious and talking and walked to the ambulance.

The window the volunteer fell through just before midnight Tuesday was about 9 feet by 9 feet.

A ruckus ensued when Fenty supporters tried to block TV cameras from filming the aftermath.
