WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com) — John McCain wins the Arizona Republican Primary. The Former Presidential Candidate has held the position with a little help from Sarah Palin. It is his fifth term as a senator. McCain also stood against Barack Obama in 2008. This time he replaced JD Hayworth, a former congressman and Radio talkshow host, after his triumph at the Arizona Primary Elections.
The results of the Poll were anticipated by many including the Associated Press and CNN. Even before the results of the Elections were announced, Phoenix based newspaper Arizona Republic, declared victory for McCain. When 20% of the vote count was completed, results hauled McCain with 59% votes and Hayworth was down to 29%.
The danger posed by the opposition Tea Party was threatening enough to make McCain spend a whopping amount of $20 million to ensure his survival in the Arizona Primary Elections. In a small state like Arizona spending 20 million is way beyond its worth. It was quite natural for Hayworth to loose the elections as he had spent only one-tenth of McCain’s Election Premiere.
The battle at Arizona highlighted the state of the republican and democratic primaries across the country. Although, McCain has won, non-Arizona states show their regrets. They say that Citizens of Arizona deserve this. What do you think? Was Arizona Primary remain better with Hayworth or will they get a bitter taste with McCain?
