NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com) — The Tennessee election results for 2010 are finally out and GOP candidate Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam has won almost 50% of votes in the Republican primary race for governor. Haslam outrun 3rd District U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp who came in second place with almost 30% and Lt. Governor Ron Ramsey in third with 22%. Meanwhile, West Tennessee businessman Mike McWherter remains uncontested in the Democratic side. The state of Tennessee voted on August 5.
The 2010 Tennessee primary election results are coming in from 95 counties in Tennessee, and the results are getting
provided by the Tennessee Department of State. This year noted an unusual phenomena as the website of the Department of State crashed several times on Thursday due to huge traffic flooding. This incident depicts the uncertainty that prevailed in Tennessee regarding elections in 2010.
This year the Tennessee government decided to declare the results live to the people casting the votes, but it could not be possible. Reportedly, the authority has apologised for not being able to put the results online. Why don’t you take a look at the website. Hope it won’t take time to respond now.
