Afghan president arrives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Afghan President Hamid Karzai arrived here Wednesday on a two-day state visit during which he will hold talks with the Pakistani leadership on a range of bilateral and regional issues.

Karzai was welcomed at the Chaklala military air base by Senate Chairman Farooq H. Naik, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira, Commerce Minister Amin Fahim and other senior officials, APP reported.

During his stay, Karzai will meet his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
