China figures prominently in India-Japan talks

TOKYO - China figured prominently in the discussions between Prime Ministers Manmohan Singh of India and Naoto Kan of Japan here Monday with both stressing how it was vital to engage Beijing in closer dialogue.

The Japanese prime minister wanted to know about “the development of Indias relations with China, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao told reporters here.
