to Extend Tax Cuts and Unemployment Insurance
FRESNO – Mayor Ashley Swearengin today offered her support for President Obama’s compromise agreement with Congressional leaders to extend unemployment insurance, tax cuts for working families, and other business incentives to promote job creation and economic growth.
In a statement, the Mayor said, “I would like to commend President Obama for his leadership in working toward bridging the partisan divide on a tax cut agreement to ensure that hard-working families and businesses are not saddled with additional tax burdens. This move toward a bipartisan compromise is an encouraging step forward and in the best interest of the country.”
