Statement from Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake about President Obama’s Tax Cut Plan

BALTIMORE, MD. (December 8, 2010)—Today, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake issued a statement regarding President Obama’s tax cut plan.

“President Obama is to be commended for working toward realistic solutions and protecting middle-class and low-income families from tax increases in this difficult economy.

The simple truth is that this tax plan benefits Baltimore’s working families by putting more money in their paychecks and helps moms and dads who have lost their jobs by extending urgently-needed unemployment benefits.

I respect President Obama for his unwavering commitment to bi-partisan problem solving and for making tough decisions that deliver tangible results to the citizens of Baltimore and move America forward.”
