AP source: DOJ supports DOD in WikiLeaks probe
WASHINGTON — A federal law enforcement official says the Justice Department is assisting in the Defense Department’s military investigation into the disclosure of tens of thousands of once-secret U.S. military documents about Afghanistan.
The official says the Justice Department does not have its own separate investigation into the leak, but rather is acting in a support role to the Pentagon probe, which is being conducted by the Army.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity in the ongoing investigation.
