WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- If the Afghanistan war documents made public by the website named “Wikileaks” has brought in front of the whole world the chaos that has been ruling in Afghanistan, then on the other hand it has also become a matter of serious worry for the White House that has called for a massive leak inquiry. As per reports, the thousands of confidential documents that have been made public by the Wikileaks has created waves in the White House that has launched an investigation to find out the source of that has led to exposure of the documents in front of the media sources.
The White House had recently condemned the leaks and said that they threaten the safety of coalition forces working in Afghanistan. A White House spokesman said to media sources that the government strongly condemns the disclosure of “classified information by individuals and organizations” by which it referred to Wikileaks. The spokesman also added that by doing so the organization has put both the “U.S. and partner service members” at risk.
The Wikileaks website has been able to lay its hands on more than 90,000 documents. These documents reportedly detail military operations between 2004 and 2009 and reveal some sensitive information on civilian deaths. The classified documents provide a blow by blow account of how the armed forces might have resulted to the death of innocent civilians. Some documents also detail the secret efforts of the coalition force to gun down and “kill or capture” senior Al-Qaeda and Taliban leaders. Apart from Wikileaks, there have been many other reputed media sources to which the information has been leaked.
