Kforce suspended from federal government work

FAIRFAX, Va. — The Department of Interior has suspended Kforce Government Solutions from any new or renewed business with the federal government, the company said Friday.

The professional services company, which is owned by Kforce Inc., may continue performing work under existing contracts but is facing debarment over a conflict surrounding its work for the Bureau of Land Management.

The Department of interior is concerned the company assisted the BLM in creating the request for a project that the company was later awarded.

The company has 30 days to respond to the department’s proposed action.

The company said it is actively communicating with the federal agency and wants to find a prompt resolution.

Shares of Kforce fell 58 cents, or more 4 percent, to $13.67 in after-hours trading Friday.
