ETAWAH - Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh has slammed Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for running the most corrupt government in Uttar Pradesh.

Talking to reporters here, Singh said that except for the Congress, all other political parties in the state have corruption on their agenda, and the BSP tops the list.

“BSP’s government in Uttar Pradesh is one of the most corrupt governments of the country. However, be it Mulayam Singh’s government or BJP led government in the state corruption and favouritism engages them for their respective terms,” Singh added.

He further claimed that the BJP only pretends to be honest.

“Bharatiya Janata Party only pretends to fight against corruption but it is only the Congress party which has taken concrete steps to wipe out corruption. From the time of Pratap Singh Karo to till date, whenever there have been allegations of corruptions against any Congress party leader, the party has taken strict action against those leaders,” Singh stated.

He also predicted that the Congress party would soon form the next government in Uttar Pradesh. (ANI)
