CHENNAI - AIADMK general secretary J. Jayalalithaa Monday demanded the arrest of former communications minister A. Raja over the irregularities in the spectrum allocation.
“Raja should be arrested,” she told reporters here when asked about the summons issued by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to the disgraced DMK leader.
She also sought a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe into the spectrum scandal, an opposition demand that washed out parliament’s winter session and which the government has refused to accept.
The former Tamil Nadu chief minister was, however, non-committal about her party’s alliances in the assembly elections due next year.
