NEW DELHI - Acting on complaints of poor quality food, the Congress Monday placed a new team to look after the food arrangements for journalists at its plenary at Burari here.

Party sources said that apart from complaints about the taste of the food, complaints of indigestion and vomiting had been reported.

Congress leader Ahmed Patel, political secretary to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, intervened to ensure better quality food for the media.

“A senior member of the party’s media committee complained about the quality of food, leading to intervention from Ahmed Patel,” a party leader told IANS.

The tent for the media has a working area and an eating hall.
