Now hotline to complain against corrupt officials

NEW DELHI - Now, people can call the toll free hotline of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to register a complaints against corrupt government officials.

The CVC has recently launched a toll free hotline - 1800 11 1180 - where people from across the country can register a complaint against corrupt government officials, Minister of State for Department of Personnel and Training V. Narayansamy said Thursday.

“Ten dedicated phone lines have been installed in the CVC for lodging complaints. These complaints are forwarded to the Chief Vigilance Officer/competent authority concerned for taking necessary action,” he said.

Narayansamy said the initiative was an effort to assure citizens that prompt deterrent action would be taken against the guilty and to devise strategies for public awareness.
