LOS ANGELES (GaeaTimes.com) - The world woke up today to mark the 65th anniversary of Hiroshima Day. On 6th August, 1945 nuclear bombs were dropped in Hiroshima by the US. For the first time in history, US Ambassador will be in Japan to commemorate the world’s most auspicious day ever.
Nearly 140000 lives were lost in Hiroshima when US dropped nuclear bomb in 1945 on this day. Three days later, another nuclear bomb was dropped in Nagasaki that took a toll 80,000 civilians.
After this disastrous event, 65 years have passed, but still people of Japan could not overcome the grief of the lost lives and suffering families. This day is mourned for the loss of thousands of innocent lives and it marks the attainment of World peace.
Today US and other nuclear powers will visit Japan for the first time to witness the memorial, said international media reports. President Barrack Obama has decided to send US Ambassador, John Roos to Japan Today. According to John Roos,
For the sake of future generations, we must continue to work together to realise a world without nuclear weapons.
The 65th anniversary of Hiroshima Day heralds a new world order. US hopes that this step will make the world aware of the ill-effects of using nuclear weapons and prevent its usage.
