Chief master sgt. in Ohio to face court martial
DAYTON, Ohio — The Air Force has ordered court martial proceedings for a chief master sergeant accused of repeatedly sexually harassing female subordinates at an Ohio base.
The Air Force says 27-year veteran William Gurney will be tried Dec. 6 at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. Gurney had been the top-ranking enlisted man at the Air Force Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton when the allegations surfaced last year.
The Air Force says he will face 20 counts including wrongful sexual contact, adultery, misuse of his position and maltreatment of subordinates.
Gurney has been accused of having sex with subordinates and sending seminude images of himself to subordinates, among other allegations.
A representative of his defense team declined to comment.
