Mexico police say gunmen kill 19 in rehab center
CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — Officials say a gang of gunmen has raided a drug rehabilitation center in a Mexican border state capital and killed 19 people.
State police spokesman Fidel Banuelos says the raid occurred late Thursday night at the Faith and Life center in Chihuahua city, about 210 miles (350 kilometers) south of Ciudad Juarez and the border with El Paso, Texas.
Banuelos says the attackers left messages accusing the victims of being criminals.
An undetermined number of other people have been hospitalized with gunshot wounds.
