BHUBANESWAR - Congress members boycotted the address of Governor Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare Monday and walked out after the 10-day assembly session began over the government’s alleged failures.

As soon as Bhandare began reading out his address, Congress members stood up and tried to disrupt him. Accusing the government of failing on all fronts, opposition leader Bhupinder Singh made a parallel speech.

Congress members trooped out after the obituary reference for six former legislators as well as three police and military personnel.
