INDORE - Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Lal Krishan Advani on Friday lashed out at the Union Government led by the Congress party on price rise and Kashmir policy.

Addressing party workers on the third day of the three-day national conclave in Indore, Advani said that they would seek Prime Minister’s explanation for its policies regarding inflation and also regarding Kashmir.

“In the next parliamentary session we will seek government’s explanation on price rise, present economic conditions and Jammu and Kashmir…we want to know what are government’s intentions on these issues…we will also seek Prime Minister’s explanation on these issues…we warn that if government even thinks of going back to pre-1953 position in Kashmir then they will have to face serious political opposition,” Advani said

India inflation in January accelerated to 8.56 percent, the highest in 14 months, putting pressure on the government to act quickly against rising prices.

Rising inflation, particularly food inflation, has sparked street protests and put political pressure on the Congress-led government to find a solution without hurting economic recovery. (ANI)
