INDORE - The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to amend its constitution to increase the number of seats of its central office bearers and make the organizational election process simpler.

The necessary amendments will be passed Thursday at the meeting of the national council, which will ratify the presidentship of Nitin Gadkari.

Party spokesman Prakash Jawdekar told the media that the changes were taking place so as to reduce the workload on party office bearers. He said that only 19 state units had completed their organizational elections.
