Term-limits petition effort launched

BISMARCK, N.D. — An effort is afoot to limit North Dakota’s state lawmakers, governor, attorney general and other statewide officeholders to serving two terms in office.

Secretary of State Al Jaeger announced Friday that a proposed term-limits petition had been filed with his office.

The petition was filed by Tory Otto of Mandan. His group would need to gather nearly 26,000 signatures to put the measure on the ballot.
