Ethiopian deputy prime minister arrives in India

NEW DELHI - Ethiopia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Hailemariam Desalegn arrived in India Tuesday on a six-day visit, during which the two countries are set to upgrade their economic and political ties.

He will hold talks with External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma during his visit.

Desalegn is accompanied by a 14-member delegation, including Ethiopian ministers for trade and industry. The delegation will discuss issues of cooperation in the social, political and economic sectors.
