KUALA LUMPUR - Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s scheduled visit to Malaysia would improve the bilateral relations between the two countries, Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia Vijay Gokhale has said.
Dr. Singh will arrive in Kuala Lumpur on a three-day visit from Tuesday to reciprocate Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak’s visit to India in January.
During Razak’s visit, both the leaders had pledged their personal commitment to take the 53-year bond to new frontiers.
“The two Prime Ministers will seek ways to take the relationship forward as they did in Delhi. Our relationship is a work in progress,” the Daily Star quoted Gokhale, as saying.
Dr. Singh will be in Malaysia with a 16-member delegation that includes Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath and a dozen top corporate leaders.
During the visit, the two countries are expected to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on tourism, culture and traditional medicine. (ANI)
