Malay Indians set to give rousing welcome to Manmohan Singh

KUALA LUMPUR - The Malay Indian community, and especially Sikhs settled in Malaysia, are set to give a rousing welcome to Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh when he arrives in Kuala Lumpur later this week.
Malaysia National Sikhs Movement (GerakSikh) president G. Darshan Singh said that when he met Dr. Singh in New Delhi and handed over his book entitled Sikh Community of Malaysia, said the Indian Prime Minister was impressed with Malaysia and the Indian community living there.
He said Dr. Singh took great interest to find out about Sikhs and other Indians in Malaysia, and was pleased with Malaysia’s achievements and the Sikh community’s contribution to the country.
Malay Sikhs have welcomed Dr. Singh’s visit as timely and meaningful, and have added that it would help cement bonds between the two countries. (ANI)
