Obama to meet top Democrats, speak at fundraiser

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama will meet with the Democratic congressional leadership in the Oval Office on Thursday.

Among those expected to attend the meeting are House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

In the evening, Obama will attend a Democratic National Committee dinner at a private residence in Washington.

Later, the president will speak at a DNC event at DAR Constitution Hall.
