Ayodhya Verdict Result: Land Divided into 3 parts

NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — The simmering tension that started engulfing the nation for couple of days regarding Ayodhya verdict is finally drying down. The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has pronounced the much awaited verdict on the Ayodhya land.
Today Justice S U Khan, Justice Sudhir Agarwal and Justice D V Sharma started the proceedings to pronounce the judgement in the Ayodhya title suit. Senior advocate and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad emerged from court to declare that the judges bench had ruled in a majority judgement 2:1, i.e,
One-third of the disputed land should be given to the Sunni Waqf Board,
one-third to the Nirmohi Akhara and
one-third to the party for ‘Ram Lalla’.
After six years of fight to court, it has been made clear that the place, where the idol of Ram was found was actually the birthplace of the deity. Mr. Prasad, who is one of the litigants also claimed that the idols should not be removed from the place.
A huge gatherings was thronging outside the Allahabad High Court since the morning to hear the verdict. The litigants emerged from the courtroom with copies of the judgement.
The blaze of dispute ignited from a 2,7 acres of disputed land on which the Babri Masjid stood. The mosque was demolished on December 6, 1992. The verdict was supposed to decide whether the land belongs to the Sunni Central Waqf Board or to the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha.
The legal battle that stirred people across the country is finally over. The government is pleading for maintaining peace and harmony post verdict.
