PM meets senior ministers after Ayodhya verdict

NEW DELHI - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh began a meeting with senior ministers here Thursday to discuss the implications of the Ayodhya verdict, which has gone in favour of a temple.

Home Minister P. Chidambaram and Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee are attending the meet, official sources said.

The meeting will review the law and order situation in the country in the wake of the judgment.

Initially the meeting was planned as a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). But it was changed as key members of the CCS - Defence Minister A.K. Antony and External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna - are away in the US on official

Finally the verdict is out after a period of 60 yrs. A good diplomatic decision but as they say Sunni Shrine Board is not happy and planning to further appeal in the Supreme Court.
