Wargotz wins GOP bid to challenge Mikulski in Md.
BALTIMORE — Eric Wargotz has won the Republican nomination to run against Democratic U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski in Maryland.
Wargotz defeated 10 other Republican candidates Tuesday.
Wargotz is a doctor who has served as a Queen Anne’s County commissioner on the Eastern Shore.
Mikulski says straight talk and hard work are the keys to her victory in Maryland’s Democratic primary. Mikulski says voters are looking for plain talk about jobs, education and making government work more efficiently.
