PHOENIX (GaeaTimes.com)- On Thursday while people of Arizona along with politicians and media sources from all over the country switched on their television to see the first gubernatorial debate between Governor of Arizona Jan Brewer and other gubernatorial candidates, what they in turn got to see was an embarrassing silence, stammering and staggering on the part of the Governor. Jan Brewer stopped in middle of her speech and was found looking downwards probably on some personal notes and then looking up only to exhale loud and continue with her speech which contained some silly grammatical errors.
Governor Jan Brewer had made to the headlines many a times in the recent past due to her signing of the strict Arizona Immigration law. She is considered by many as one of such governors who have high chances of returning to the office this fall for yet another season. However, on Thursday her image as a fitful leader suffered badly when she failed to convey her thoughts to the mass through the debate. As per reports, Jan Brewer was silent for at least 16 seconds during her speech which according to some is the longest in the recent history of any political debate.
However, Jan Brewer in her debate counted the changes that her term has brought in Arizona. The Governor held that during her term in the office she had done everything that was possible and held that all things were done keeping in mind the betterment of the state. She held that the state of Arizona has been “brought back from its abyss”. Jan Brewer also pointed out at the budget and held that the state is moving forward.
