KOLKATA, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Thanks to America and their Independence Day which falls on Fourth Of July which also calls it a holiday all over the American States on July 5th, BPO employees are calling it to be their “saving grace” for they mostly cater to American clients. Reportedly, July 5th is a Bharat Bandh which has been called by the ruling party in protest of the hike in prices of petrol, cooking gas and kerosene. The BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) employees were worried about the Bharat Bandh which they said would have interfered with their work.
Some of the major IT (Information Technology) firms of the city located in Salt Lake sector V had asked their employees to put in a extra effort in their work on Saturday. The officials of the IT firm told the media that the Bharat Bandh would hamper their work and hence they wanted to make it up for the loss by working a little extra on Saturday and Sunday. As a matter of fact, IT firms have called it a regular day at the office and Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority is making all arrangements to make sure that Sector V operates smoothly on Bharat Bandh.
The Officials of NDITA along with the North 24-Parganas police informed the media that they already had a discussion about Bharat Bandh with the representatives of the IT companies and have promised to keep Sector V functional on Monday. Police vans have been already deployed at all entry points which shall carry the IT employees safely in case they face any obstruction. Plus any IT employee facing trouble due to Bharat Bandh can call up the special helpline number for assistance.
