HOUSTON, TEXAS (GaeaTimes.com)- A family spokesperson has revealed that former first lady Barbara Bush has been admitted to a hospital for undergoing certain routine tests on the advise of the family doctor. It has come to light that the 84 year old ex-first lady was hospitalized after she had been unwell for a period of about a week, which resulted in her being admitted to the medical facility.

According to reports, when Barbara Bush was admitted to the Houston, Texas based Methodist Hospital, she was accompanied by her husband, former United States President George H.W. Bush. The family spokeswoman has also stated that despite the fact that the former first lady has been hospitalized, there is hardly any reason to worry about as she would probably be released from the hospital in a day or two after all the routine tests have been taken care of. Meanwhile, Jean Becker, the chief of staff of the former United States President has added that although President George H.W. Bush is highly concerned about the medical condition of his wife, he has full faith in the doctors. However, the details about the tests that Barbara Bush is expected to go through has not been available at the moment.

Despite the fact that the former first lady has not been doing really well, that has not been successful in stopping her from following her public schedule. Barbara Bush was spotted on Friday reading out to children at the Barbara Bush Elementary School. Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the hospital in which the former first lady has been admitted reportedly, did not divulge any information about her medical condition.
