BANGKOK - Thailand’s deputy prime minister for security affairs Suthep Thuagsuban reiterated Thursday that Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva had sent a clear signal that parliament should be dissolved before June.

The premier had indicated earlier that he would end his term in April.

“I can guarantee that the parliament dissolution will take place before June,” Xinhua quoted Suthep as telling reporters at Government House.

The deputy prime minister said the ruling Democrat Party is already prepared for the next general election.

The Democrat Party came into power in December 2008. Its term is to last till the end of this year.
