KOLKATA - Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani Tuesday demanded another Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) probe in both Commonwealth Games and Adrash Society scams.

Few days back there was a meeting between (Union Finance Minister)Pranab Mukherjee and other leaders of the parliament. After that meeting what Pranab Mukherjee had said means that government is making his mind on the demand of JPC probe in the 2G scam, said Advani while addressing a mammoth rally here.

The 2G spectrum allotment in 2008 under then Communications Minister A. Raja, now in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) custody, has triggered a major controversy. The Comptroller and Auditor General of India, in its report submitted to parliament in November, put the notional loss to the public exchequer at as high as Rs.1.76 lakh crore, a figure disputed by Raja’s successor Kapil Sibal.

“But what will happen to the Commonwealth games scam and Adarsh scam. If there is a JPC probe on 2G spectrum scam, then blame will come only on DMK, the Congress will go scot-free,” said Advani

“I want to say in this public rally that when opposition demands JPC probe, that means that there should be JPC probe in all the corruption cases in recent times. Without this, the opposition will not be satisfied,” he asserted.
