SHILLONG - Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit this Meghalaya capital Monday to interact with students of the North Eastern Hill University on a range of issues, an official said Sunday.

He will also fly to Mizoram capital Aizwal, the same day.

He would be arriving at Umroi airport at 12 a.m. from Sikkim capital Gangtok and then proceed to the university.

Meanwhile, elaborate security arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth visit of the Congress leader.

We have beefed up security, Superintendent of Police M. Kharkrang said, adding that a Special Protection Group team had reached here and reviewed the security arrangements.
