UAE, Turkey discuss economic, trade relations

Dubai, Feb 10 (IANS/WAM) The UAE and Turkey Thursday discussed increased economic and trade relations.

United Arab Emirates Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek exchanged views on a number of financial and economic issues of their countries’ mutual interest. They also discussed the ways to boost economic and trade cooperation between UAE and Turkey.

Sheikh Mohammed, during the discussion, expressed his pleasure over the gradual progress of bilateral cultural, investment, tourism, and trade relations with Turkey.

He indicated that UAE looks forward to further strengthening of bilateral relations with Turkey.

The visiting Turkish minister said his country was keen to upgrade bilateral relations with UAE, especially the trade relations that are projected to reach $10 billion in 2015 in comparison to the current trade volume of $3 billion.
