UAE signs open skies pact with Djibouti

Dubai, Feb 10 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has signed an open skies pact with Djibouti on commercial flights between the two countries.
The pact was signed between Omar Bin Ghaleb, Deputy Director General, UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), and Almis M. Haid, Director of Civil Aviation Authority and Meteorology of Djibouti.
Representatives from Abu Dhabi Department of Transport, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Sharjah Department of Civil Aviation, Ras Al Khaimah Department of Civil Aviation, Etihad Airways, Emirate Airline, Fly Dubai and RAK Airways were present on the occasion.
Both representatives agreed that any number of designated airlines of both countries will have be able to operate scheduled flights.
The UAE delegation designated Emirates Airline, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, RAK Airways, and FlyDubai as UAE national airlines. From Djibouti, Daallo Airlines and Djibouti Air were designated.
