THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - Kanimozhi, the daughter of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, has said her father would solve whatever problems there are in their family.

“All issues concerning the 2G Spectrum, the resignation of Telecom Minister A. Raja and the subsequent problems that have cropped up in our family would be resolved shortly,” Kanimozhi said in what is believed to be her first full-fledged TV interview after problems surfaced in the first family of Tamil Nadu.

In a release issued here Saturday, Asianet TV quoted the Rajya Sabha member as saying in the interview with its news editor T.N. Gopakumar: “Similar problems do crop in all families and we are certain that whatever problems are there in our family would be settled soon by our father.”

On the vexed Mullaperiyar dam issue between Tamil Nadu and Kerala, she said that in the best interest of all, politics should be kept aside by both the states to find an amicable solution.

The half an hour interview will be telecast 10 p.m. Sunday.
