LAHORE - Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has won back the confidence of Saudi King Shah Abdullah as one of his most trustworthy allies in Pakistan.
King Abdullah now wants Sharif to play a leading role in Pakistan politics, as an important PML-N leader, the Daily Times reports.
The PML-N leader, who belongs to the inner-most circle of the PML-N chief, told Daily Times on the condition of anonymity that the Saudi king had once again showered his blessings on the PML-N chief by communicating to him that he (Nawaz) was a close friend of the royal Saudi family and the king had great confidence in him.
