BANGALORE - French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s celebrity wife Carla Bruni said she enjoyed her brief stay in Bangalore though they had no time to go the city.
Sarkozy and Bruni stayed in Bangalore for just about four hours, more than an hour of which was spent at Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
Landing around 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd’s airport in the city centre, the French first couple drove to seven-star Leela Palace hotel nearby and stayed there till they left for ISRO.
“I am enjoying my stay,” Bruni said when a few TV channels managed to shoot questions at her at ISRO.
As the couple left ISRO after Sarkozy’s address to around 500 scientists, industry captains and students, Bruni, who was seated in the front row to hear her husband speak, did a ‘namaste’ while Sarkozy preferred to wave.
The hotel management declined to give any details of the time the Sarkozys spent there.
