Cannot comment on cabinet reshuffle: PM

NEW DELHI - Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Saturday said the average age of people in power should be reduced even as he did not comment on a possible cabinet reshuffle.
“I think I am not able to say what I am going to do in way of a cabinet reshuffle. When that happens all of you will come to know,” Manmohan Singh said at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit.
He again reiterated that there should be more younger people in the cabinet, as well as in Indian politics. “I do share the thought that we must reduce the average age of people in power. We must bring in more young people,” he said.
Two ministers, A. Raja and Prithviraj Chavan, have recently left the cabinet for different reasons. Earlier, Shashi Tharoor had also resigned due to a controversy over the Kochi franchisee of the Indian Premier League.
