PMO website to host ministers’ asset details

NEW DELHI - Details of all ministers’ assets would soon be posted on the website of the Prime Minister’s Office, official sources said Sunday.

The information is likely to be uploaded soon, the source said, adding that the decision was taken in the wake of corruption scams being exposed.

According to the sources, Cabinet Secretary K.M. Chandrasekhar has already written to all central ministers that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has given the green signal to make the information public on the PMO website regarding the details of their assets and liabilities.

This is being done as part of the efforts to make governance transparent, the sources said.
