NEW DELHI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- As the entire country waits with baited breath for the Ayodhya verdict on Thursday, the authorities across the nation have been busy beefing up the security throughout the country. Sonia Gandhi urged the people across the country to maintain peace on the crucial day no matter which way the verdict goes. The court announced on Thursday that the verdict will be released at 3:30pm on Thursday.
In Uttar Pradesh the security around the controversial Ayodhya site has been increased several folds. Searches are being conducted across Faizabad and people entering the disputed Ayodhya site are being thoroughly checked. 25 places in the state have been recognized as sensitive and 19 others have been tagged as hypersensitive. Rapid action forces have been deployed in these areas to keep things under control in case of any signs of communal tension noticed. There is also a ban on bulk smses till September 30 and it could be extended even further due to the aftereffects, if any, of the Ayodhya Verdict. IAF planes will also be kept ready in 8 areas across the nation.
Earlier it was announced that the Karnataka state government will implement section 144 in the state due to the Ayodhya Verdict. There will also be no sale of liquor for the next two days. Strict action will also be taken against all those who are seen indulging in burning of effigies as well as other such actions that can cause tension in the state. Schools and colleges have also been closed for the next two days across the state. Some of the other states that have been recognized as sensitive include Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
