SACRAMENTO, Calif. — In a story Sept. 16 about California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman’s campaign spending, The Associated Press gave an incorrect title for her opponent in last spring’s Republican primary. Steve Poizner is the state insurance commissioner, not the state treasurer.
