Four killed in CPI (M)-Congress clash in West Bengal

MURSHIDABAD - At least four persons were killed in a clash between Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Congress supporters in West Bengal’s Murshidabad District on Monday over a dispute related to the election of a school management committee.
“The supporters of the two parties clashed at Ghughupara under Islampur police station over the election of a school management committee,” said Kolkata Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Surajit Kar Purakayastha.
The police have detained three persons for interrogation in this regard.
As per the last reports, tension continued to prevail in the area with additional policemen rushing to the spot. (ANI)
