President Benigno Aquino III To Decide Upon 8 Point People’s Agenda

MANILA, PHILIPPINES (GaeaTimes.com) — The much discussed upon Eight Point People’s Agenda was presented to President Benigno Aquino III on Monday. The Militant groups gathered on Commonwealth Avenue for this purpose. The Agenda includes makibg his predecessor Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo accountable for the alleged crimes under her administration.
The 8-point People’s Agenda is:
- Prosecute Arroyo
- Justice for Arroyo Human Rights Victims
- Genuine Land Reform
- Itaas ang sahod
- Stop the Killings
- Junk VFA and JPEPA
- Increase budget for social services
- Resume peace talks
The President is now to take the next steps. This is a very delicate political issue. It won’t be easy for the president alone to take such a big decision. Well, all we can do is wait until something new come’s up.
