MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The daughter of Sharad Pawar, Union Agriculture minister, Supriya Sule has defended her family regarding the IPL controversy that has become a talking point at large. She has refuted the claims of her family’s involvement with the whole episode. According to her, Sadanand Sule, her spouse is in no way related to the IPL betting fiasco. She made it clear that her family did not bid for any IPL team at all. The lady also said that the accusations pointed at Praful Patel are baseless.

Supriya Sule also said that only because her father tried to justify his position on Shashi Tharoor and Lalit Modi, it does not mean he took a side. From the time Shashi Tharoor gave his resignation over the IPL controversy, she tried to defend the stance taken by her father. She tried to prove her point by saying that how her father had tried to make revenue for the nation being a lover of cricket. It needs to be observed that Supriya Sule started defending her father at a time when the Congress party is planning to find his link with the IPL scenario.

Sharad Pawar also came under the scanner for his connections with the Kochi team. Supriya Sule said in her statement given to a channel that no member in her family has any vested interest in IPL. She reiterated that IPL should not be interpreted as a means to earn quick money as some entities are interpreting. However, the controversy is not going to die down anytime soon as the experts feel.
