BSP leader shot dead at a rally in Uttar Pradesh

GOND - A Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader was shot dead by some unidentified men during a protest rally against Women’s Reservation Bill here on Wednesday evening.

Hanuman Sharan Shulka, a local BSP leader and a member of the Zila Panchayat was sharing the dais along with other leaders during the rally when he was shot at.

The incident took place during a BSP rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Gond town.

According to police the criminals shot dead Shukla, who was sitting on the dais, when district BSP coordinator Chithu Prasad was addressing the gathering.

Police have ruled out political rivalry as a motive to the killing.

An investigation has been launched into the matter.

The assailants fled the scene after the killing, leaving behind the country made pistol used in the crime. (ANI)
