ALBANY, NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- Angela McGlowan seem to be in the spotlight of late, like never before. On the one hand, she seems to be getting a lot of support from the people, as can be seen from the fact that she managed to make her way past the Conservative biggies like Henry Ross and Alan Nunnelee in the first Tea Party citizens phone straw poll that had been conducted in the state recently. However, on the other hand, she is being subject to quite a lot of criticism owing to her allegiance to the Tea Party movement, most of which, unfortunately, is based on her skin tone.

It has been reported that Angela McGlowan has been receiving quite an amount of negative responses from the people regarding her support of the Tea Party movement. Most of the critics feel that by supporting the movement, she has in a way betrayed the President of the country, who also happens to be black. Moreover, the fact that she is opposing the first black President the country has ever had has come as a bigger shock to the sentiments of the people. Added to that is the general assumption that the blacks are traditionally affiliated to the Democrats.

However, not one to be bogged down by such negative vibes, Angela McGlowan has held her ground despite being in the line of fire. She commented that her choice of political ideology had nothing to do with the color she was born with, and stressed that the skin tone has nothing to do with one’s choice of sides.
